Tonight is the cable premiere of "The Palestra: Cathedral of Basketball" on ESPN Classic. "The Palestra" documentary made by Mikaelyn Austin. Austin is one of the Phrustrated Fans who created the documentary "The Curse of William Penn", which featured interviews of people from Our Town.
"The Palestra" has been receiving rave reviews from daily newspapers here in Philadelphia and on the West Coast. The documentary received good buzz during its screening at the Philadelphia International Film Festival. "The Palestra" has been a labor of love for her. Austin, a 2004 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, was co-captain of the 2004 Ivy League Champion Women's BasketBall Team. Austin is president of Philly Philms, an independent film and video production company here in Philadelphia.
